How it works

Time to decimal: add the minutes divided by 60 to the hours. Decimal to time: multiply the decimal part by 60 to get minutes. Minutes to decimal: divide by 60. Here, decimal time means decimal hours as used on timesheets and in payroll.

Worked example: Convert 95 minutes

  1. 95 ÷ 60 = 1.5833 hours
  2. Round to 2 places: 1.58
  3. Check: 1.58 × 60 = 94.8 minutes, which is 1:35

95 minutes = 1.58 decimal hours
